The images in this project are conceptual only. Usually, I would put something like this in the “concept” area of my site, however, shipping container houses are becoming more and more mainstream. Therefore, I felt it appropriate to include this design concept with the other houses that I have worked on. Container shipping houses are economical, environmentally friendly, and are the ultimate in recycling efforts. For more on the process of constructing a container house, please view this entry on my blog.
Lone Wolf Drafting and Design aided in the design of the ultimate Spanish colonial home. The client wanted the exterior of this structure to be authentic in every way possible, from its overall layout to its final look. The entire house was divided between private and public, making the house’s layout an ‘H’ shape. The two halves of the house were connected by a central corridor that further separated the front outdoor space from the rear. The front space included a large courtyard centered around a great Elm tree. The courtyard was separated from the outer perimeter of the house be another wall featuring a massive iron gate. The rear of house contained a large swimming pool with access to the master bedroom and great room.
The cabin was created as a concept piece in response to an ad on Craigslist,
The cabin draws its inspiration from the “Design It” Guggenheim Shelter Competitions, which can be seen here. The cabin consists of two main sections – the living room that is designated as the “public” space, and the master bedroom that serves as the “private” space. The public space contains a living room, kitchen, dining area and a bathroom. A master bedroom makes up the cabin’s private space. Large windows pepper the walls throughout the cabin, allowing nature to become the artwork and decoration. The overall effect is a beautiful modern structure that takes advantage of the surrounding nature.
Cimon Investments hired Lone Wolf Drafting and Design for design consultation and rendering services on “Casa de la Buena Vita” or “Home of the Good Life.” This project aims to create a beautifully authentic, but modern take on a Spanish territorial home. Carved into the mountains of the FireRock community in Fountain Hills, Arizona, Casa de la Buena Vita is a unique three story home that overlooks one of Arizona’s premier golf courses.
The house is under construction and should be completed in late 2009/early 2010.
As this is a work in progress, there may be small inconsistencies between images.
This one-off custom home was designed by the Sater Design Group, who in turn, commissioned Lone Wolf Drafting and Design to render the images. This massive and beautiful estate is situated on waterfront property in the Cayman Islands. The Sater Design Group supplied us with AutoCAD plans in conjunction with PDF elevations, landscaping plans and notes, from which we were able to create this full color, high quality, highly detailed 3-D model and images. The Sater Design Group was able to present these images to their client so they could see what there final home would look like before yard one of concrete was even poured. As a matter of fact, this house went through several color changes before the client was happy with the house’s final look. This process saved The Sater Design Group time and money over the course of the development of this project, while streamlining production to better fit their client’s timeline.
A Florida-based company contracted Lone Wolf Drafting and Design to help them create a catalog of home for a new development being created in the Southeast. There were several models for clients to chose from, each with their own details to allow for personalization and customization. In the end, there were multiple models with two to three elevations per house. While the project was to create only the homes’ exteriors, one can imagine the interiors are equally beautiful.
