Modern Art Gallery
Level of Detail: Medium to High
Project Overview
This is a rather unique project. It started off just as a quick waterwall rendering for one of my clients. The actual project was the stepped waterwall featured in the center of the larger room. I really liked the simple, clean, modern design of this piece, so I decided to build a gallery around it, and add some of my own personal modern are pieces. All of the art on the walls is taken from public sites on the internet. My designs are found on either end of the gallery, and another piece serves as a room divider. The first piece is one that I call "Order". It is just a simple design consisting of three brick pillars floating on a wall, surrounded by stainless steel rings with blue backlighting. The next piece is called "Interlink". This is found in between both rooms, and consists of rectangular forms consisting of stainless steel and copper linked together. The last piece is called "Water and Light Times 2". This is a piece that centers around a thin waterwall, and is surrounded by a multitude of lights hanging by steel cable, and each fixture hangs just inches from the floor. The ceiling consists of a dark smoked mirror that repeats the design, and adds to the vertical effect. The gallery itself is a simple, clean design that does not detract or interfere with the art in the space.
