LIRR/MTA Lithograph and Steam Engine Lithograph

Level of Detail: Low

Project Overview

The goal of this project was to create two custom renderings for a local train enthusiast. These drawings were to be later converted into large vinyl wall murals that would be affixed within a model train room. These prints would create accent walls within that room. The client asked for two very specific engine types, a 1960 General Motors EMD (BO A–1–A) Class FL Electro Diesel Passenger Locomotive and for a Steam Locomotive from the turn of the century, for a which I drew an engine based on the 1914 Canadian National Railway Engine No. 47 (a 4–6–6T type). These two engines had to be painstakingly researched for accuracy, and every detail drawn, as these two prints were going to be enlarged to fill an entire wall. The client was thrilled with the final result, and the wall murals are currently on order.
